The film touches on some of the most pressing issues in education today, including urban education, the role of faith-based schools, school reform, public vs. private schools, and multicultural styles of learning. The film provokes lively, constructive debate across the philosophical spectrum, from advocates of conventional and/or faith-based education to its fiercest critics.
The educators' version of the film is 58:21 minutes and is divided into eight short sections. The film can easily be viewed in whole or in part. A Study Guide for educators presents background information along with discussion topics keyed to each section.
